Une association loi 1901 ou une association de parents d'élèves peut exercer des activités commerciales, économiques ou lucratives de façon exceptionnelle. Ces pratiques commerciales sont réglementées que ce soit dans l'organisation de lotos, loteries ou tombolas de bienfaisance, de la tenue de buvettes où sont vendues certaines boissons alcoolisées ou encore de la participation à des braderies, brocantes, vides-greniers et foires.
