Un majeur protégé (tutelle, curatelle...) peut-il demander un titre d'identité ?

Un majeur sous tutelle, curatelle ou sauvegarde de justice peut posséder une carte d'identité ou un passeport. L'intervention de son représentant dépend du type de protection.

  • Le majeur sous tutelle peut faire seul sa demande de carte d'identité, mais son tuteur doit être informé.

    En plus des documents à joindre au dossier de demande, le majeur sous tutelle doit fournir les documents suivants :

    • Attestation du tuteur indiquant qu'il est informé de la démarche
    • Photocopie d'une pièce d’identité du tuteur
    • Dernier jugement de tutelle

  • Le majeur conserve sa capacité juridique : il peut donc demander un titre d'identité sans avoir besoin d'en demander l'autorisation du curateur.
