Oui, un salarié peut être licencié pendant ou à la fin de son congé parental (pris à temps plein ou à temps partiel).

Toutefois, le licenciement doit être justifié par un motif sans rapport avec le congé parental (motif économique ou faute grave, par exemple).

L'employeur doit alors respecter les règles habituelles de licenciement : licenciement pour motif personnel ou licenciement économique.

Le salarié licencié durant son congé parental conserve ses droits aux prestations de la sécurité sociale.

Il perçoit ses indemnités pour maladie, maternité, invalidité (et décès pour l'ayant droit) jusqu'à la fin de son indemnisation par Pôle emploi.
