Un salarié non européen qui s'installe en France doit-il connaître le français ?

Pour pouvoir travailler en France, un salarié non européen doit avoir obtenu une autorisation de travail.

Il doit avoir une connaissance suffisante de la langue française ou s'engager à l'apprendre après son installation, s'il manifeste la volonté de s'établir durablement en France.

Sauf exceptions, un contrat d'intégration républicaine (CIR) est conclu entre l'État français et tout étranger non européen admis au séjour en France souhaitant s'y installer durablement.

Il passe un test de connaissance en langue française. Ce test est oral et écrit. Il est organisé par l'Ofii.

En fonction du résultat obtenu, Il bénéficie d'une formation linguistique ou en est dispensé.
